Georgia's H2O Water Crisis

"HEY Georgia Kids! Learn how you can help save Georgia's precious water resources by exploring my site. Water is a precious resource in Georgia and all over the world! The Department of Community Affairs Office of Environmental Management in Georgia states that the "growing demand [on our water] is squeezing our water resources dry, causing natural habitat degradation and impacting our everyday use of water. We have no choice but to pay more attention to how we are using water, and how we may be wasting it. We must bridge the gap between understanding how important water is to our survival and what we can do to ensure that we have an adequate supply of clean water for years to come." On this site there are many simple ways you can learn to help conserve water, both inside and outside our homes.

• I am Captain Water from Atlanta, Georgia.
• I was created so I can help tell you the story about Georgia's worst drought in one hundred years. It occurred in 2007. Everyone in Georgia should remember our experience and conserve water now for the future.
• With the help of my dog Hydro I hope to teach you how we can help save water for our communities and state.
• As you learn about water conservation be sure to watch out for my nemeses the Waster and his minions the Droughtlings. They attack Georgia's water supply so they can take control of our cities, but if you're informed about water conservation you can help us stop the evil Waster and his Droughtlings.
