The Georgia Water Story
- A drought is when there is lack of rain and lakes, rivers, ponds and etc. Drop a large amount of water.
- Due to the lack of rain Georgia experienced the worst drought in 100 years, in 2007.
- Our Lakes have now increased but Lake Lanier will never regain a normal water level.
- Visit Conserve Water Georgia or the Georgia Drought Site to find out more and read updates on Georgia's water supply.
- This can happen again and we want to be sure we are ready.
